Though much has been written about Judaism, Islam, Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism and Buddhism, there has been only limited documentation of the many religions of the Caribbean, an area rich in religious diversity. The Encyclopedia of Caribbean Religions is an attempt to record the religious beliefs indigenous to the Caribbean and the evolution of belief systems as they met and changed through contact with others in that region.
