ESKİŞEHİR OSMANGAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ TIP FAKÜLTESİ HASTANESİNE BAŞVURAN HASTALARDA HEKİMLİK DEĞER ALGILARINA BAKIŞIN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Çalışmada hastaneye başvuran hastalarda hekimlik değer algılarına bakışın değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Çalışma, Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi (ESOGÜ) Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesine başvuran ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 405 hasta üzerinde yapılan kesitsel tipte bir araştırmadır. Çalışmada kullanılan anket form, hastaların sosyodemografik özelliklerini, sağlık hizmeti ile ilişkili olabilecek faktörleri sorgulayan sorular ile Hekimlik Değer Algısı Ölçeği’nden oluşmaktaydı. Çalışmaya katılan 405 kişinin yaşları 18-82 arasında olup ortalaması±SS 43.59±16.67 yıl idi. Çalışma grubundakilerin Hekimlik Değer Algısı ölçeğinden aldıkları puanlar 60-90 arasında değişmekte olup, ortalama±SD 82.62±5.61, ortancası 84.0 idi. Çalışma grubunda hekimlik değer algılarının orta ve ileri yaş grubunda, erkeklerde ve öğrenim düzeyi düşük olanlarda daha yüksek olduğu saptandı. Hastaların hekim algılarının genç yaş grubu ve öğrenim düzeyi daha yüksek olanlarda düşük bulunması üzerinde durulması gereken bir sonuç olarak düşünüldü. Toplumun hekim algısının zaman içinde değişebileceği ve bu konuda daha kapsamlı çalışmalar yapılması gerektiği kanaatine varıldı

The aim of the study was to evaluate the perception of medical profession value in patients who applied to the hospital. This is a cross-sectional study in 405 patients that accepted to participate to the research who applied to the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Medical Faculty Hospital. In the study, a questionnaire consisting of questions about sociodemographic characteristics, related to the healthcare service and the Medical Profession Value Perception Scale was used. The mean age of the 405 participants was between 18 and 82 years and the mean±SD was 43.59 ± 16.67 years. The scores of the study group in the Medical Profession Value Perception Scale ranged from 60 to 90 and mean±SD was 82.62 ± 5.61 and median was 84.0. In the study group, it was found that the perceptions of medical value were higher in the middle and older age groups, in males and in low education levels. In conclusion, the fact that medical profession value perceptions of patients were low in younger age group and in higher education levels was considered. It has been concluded that the medical profession value perceptions of society may change in time and more comprehensive studies on this subject was concluded that needs to be done
