A 22-year-old woman started receiving etoricoxib 60 mg/day for lumbalgia and chronic bursitis; after a relationship conflict, she also began receiving diazepam 5mg as needed [duration of treatments not stated]. She impulsively took etoricoxib 840mg and diazepam 40mg after a dispute with her partner, and subsequently reported to an A&E. During observation, all examination and laboratory findings remained strictly normal. However, she reported heartburn after 12 hours of observation, which resolved with a single dose of omeprazole and did not recur [time to reaction onset not clearly stated]. She later began receiving antidepressants and was referred for outpatient follow-up.Author CommentThe patient showed no form of complication from the intake of the drugs, apart from the isolated incidence of heartburn...
