Internationally acclaimed artist Sebastião Salgado has taken photographs of people in exodus all over the world. For the first time in 10 years his work is being shown in London.
Salgado is a human rights activist and has witnessed mass migration due to political instability all over the world. The photographs are a selection of those taken on his travels in Asia, Africa, central Europe, and Latin America. The pictures, taken between 1993 and 1999, are a photographic history of migration during those years.
Whether it is conflict, political instability, or oppression that has forced people to move, the pictures all share the theme of exodus. The...
