Abstract

With computer games, video footage, interesting sound effects, and jungle gym-size models of blood vessels and the digestive system, this impressive show strikes just the right balance between education and entertainment. Developed in the USA by the Manhattan Children's Museum and now on show at New Zealand's national museum, Te Papa, the exhibition is given a New Zealand context with its emphasis on local health issues, such as skin cancer and asthma. A small section of the exhibition looks at the MMR vaccine and the scientists who are developing a vaccine for psoriasis.
