Similar to the fourth edition (reviewed in AE, February 2000 and November 2000), the revised introductory financial accounting textbook maintained and improved upon its most distinctive feature-the economic decision-making approach and the balanced coverage of three important themes: economic factors, measurement issues, and mechanics. This most readable text offers an opportunity to study business management with the eye of financial accounting. The user approach is predominant, focusing on the interpretation of data without ignoring the mechanics of accounting. The book provides a solid foundation in the mechanics of financial accounting.
