A FUNÇÃO POLÍTICA DA ESCOLA UMA REFLEXÃO EM GRAMSCI SOBRE A ESCOLA QUE FAZEMOS E A ESCOLA QUE QUEREMOS

Abstract

Este estudo propõe reflexão em Gramsci sobre a função política da escola, com o objetivo de evidenciar a importância de uma concepção de mundo e de homem fundada pela percepção da necessidade de uma formação politizada, interpretando a escola como mediadora na preservação dos direitos e construção da liberdade. Trata-se de um estudo bibliográfico subsidiado pela abordagem teórica e crítica do pensamento revolucionário de Gramsci. A leitura feita possibilita dizer que as concepções norteadoras da prática educativa, se não repensadas e re-conceituadas continuamente no tempo e no espaço em que a escola se situa, não fornecem aos educadores os instrumentos necessários ao combate às ideologias, bem como à exclusão implícita na ação escolar. A indiferença sobre a função política da escola é vista por Gramsci como parasitismo, covardia, como peso morto na história, mesmo assim, atuando passiva, porém poderosamente, na história dos sujeitos.

This study proposes to reflect on the political function of the school in Gramsci, with the objective of providing evidence on the importance of a conception of world and human being based on the perception of the need for a politicised training, interpreting the school as a mediator for the preservation of rights and the construction of liberty. It constitutes a bibliographic study founded on a theoretical and critical approach to the revolutionary thinking of Gramsci. Our reading allows us to conclude that if the guiding conceptions of educational practice are not rethought and reconceptualised continually in the time and space in which the school is situated, they will not offer educators the instruments necessary for combatting ideologies, as well as for their implicit exclusion from school action. Indifference to the political function of the school is seen by Gramsci as parasitism, cowardice, as a dead weight in history, even though, acting passively, although powerfully, on the history of the subjects.
