ABSTRACT
Indian printing is booming at an exponential rate today. Printing is having a vast range of application for common people. There is a huge change in social, economic, political and market condition. This paper through light on printing industry scenario presently in India and future possible implication of it. This research paper is studied the future, scope, challenges of printing industry from the different angle. The paper shows that the Indian printing industry has a good scope in exporting of printed product due to very low production cost and good communication and teclmical skills as required. The importing of the machines creates high level competition in Indian printing machine manufacturing field. The important notable matter, a well quipped prepress machine manufactures are available in India.

I.Introduction
Printing is a fast growing industrial sector in India. The growth rate of Indian printing industry is more the 14 %, which includes more than 260,000 big, small and medium printers. The annual turnover from printing industry is more than 60000 Cr.
The printing industry is growing with a rapid revolutionary changes since 2000. The implementation of privatization and globalization integrated the Indian economy with world economy. In 1990, India initiated a process of reforms aimed at shedding protectionism and embracing liberalization of the economy. Currently, printing industry shows higher level of growth. The print education, privatization and liberalization has made the India printing industry to match with the world class technology, services and international standards. That led to obtain the best quality products and services from the industries. The package printing sector has growing by 18 ?, offset printing at a rate of 20 % and digital printing is at 25 %. The introduction of digital print application is totally transformed the printing industry with the high quality customized printed products.
In 2008, the newspaper industry was constituted 87% of the sector, but the rapid growth of electronic media is the biggest challenge to the print media.
