Abstract
Results of removing of coloring impurities from ground feldspatic (natural feldspar-silica mix) produced in Strzeblow Mining and Processing Plant in Sobotka, Lower Silesia (SW Poland) were presented. Gravity separation methods for treatment of the investigated material were applied. Two kinds of ground commercial products of size fractions: +0,1–0,5 mm (MS 500) and –0.1 mm (MS 100) with different contents of impurities were investigated. In the feed sample of size fraction below 0.1 mm, containing 0.9% Fe2O3, after treatment on shaking table this content was lowered to 0.4%. In the sample of size fraction of +0,1–0,5 mm, containing initially 0.4% Fe2O3, after treatment the enriched product assayed 0.25% of this component. It was found that the main carrier of ferric impurities (calculated on Fe2O3) in the investigated material is associated with pyrite. A gravity separation quantitative flowsheet for the investigated material is proposed.
Przedstawiono wyniki badań usuwania metodami grawitacyjnymi zanieczyszczeń barwiących z mączek skaleniowo-kwarcowych produkowanych w Strzeblowskich Kopalniach Surowców Mineralnych w Sobótce. Przedmiotem badań były dwa rodzaje mączek o uziarnieniu +0,1– 0,5 mm (MS 500) i –0,1 mm (MS 100) pobieranych w trzech różnych okresach pracy zakładu przeróbczego, różniących się zawartością zanieczyszczeń. Próbka 0,1 mm zawierała 0,9% Fe2O3 i w trakcie wzbogacania grawitacyjnego obniżono tę zawartość do 0,4%, natomiast z próbki +0,1–0,5 mm, zawierającej pierwotnie 0,4% Fe2O3 otrzymano produkt zawierający 0,25% Fe2O3.
