Pauline Shaw Bayne is a music librarian, assistant dean of libraries, and professor of the School of Music at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her book, A Guide to Library Research in Music, draws from her years of teaching a graduate music bibliography and research methods course. As stated in the preface, this book has three goals. It is intended to aid in the research process, to be an instruction manual, and to provide resources created since the last edition of Duckies (Vincent H.
