Abstract
Managers will have to supervise individuals that are talented within a field but can be difficult to motivate. Based on the journal article, "How to Motivate Problem People" in the Harvard Business Review, review of literature has been conducted in attempts to assist managers in the motivational process and the actions that can be used to work with difficult employees. From the journal, there have been four case studies reviewed in attempts to reveal various types of difficult employees.

Introduction
The concept of management is through organization and coordination of the activities of an enterprise in accordance with certain policies and in achievement of clearly defined objectives. This can be difficult to understand on many levels, although with practice and gaining experience it is much easier to feel comfortable with the process and procedures that are involved in managing difficult but talented employees.
Within this paper, the goal is to present the reader with a better understanding about management, what new managers can potentially do to learn the habits and trends of those they supervise, things older managers can do to manage a younger employee and ways for managers to supervise and motivate employees that have a habit to be more difficult to oversee. To understand how to motive a difficult employee, a general understanding regarding the types of difficult employees a manager will have to work with on a day-to-day basis, what habits each type of employee will exude and the potential actions that a manager can use to ensure the employee is working up to their potential.
With the use of many outside sources, this paper will name and describe many types of difficulties that employees may be present in the professional setting of an office or other workspace. From there, the paper will give tips for dealing with the variety of difficulties that each employee may potentially bring to a work group. These suggestions will start with the least invasive and progress until the final option being termination of the difficult employee; also, there are tips that a manager can do to ensure the environment is as stress free as possible, in order to allow for each employee to work at their full potential.
