This 23rd International Federation Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Congress was held at Walt Disney World® Dolphin Hotel, October 24-27, 2004. The congress theme, "Cosmetic Science: Unlocking the Mystery, Fantasy and Reality," was carried throughout the four days.
The scientific conference started with the keynote speaker, Shekhar Mitra from Procter and Gamble, followed by 70 platform presentations. Two hundred scientific posters representing over 35 countries were on display all day Monday and Tuesday. In total, more then 2,000 participants (including exhibitors) were registered at this major cosmetic event, hosted by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), United States and its current president Guy Padulo of Kobo Products, Inc.
The IFSCC Basic Research Award was presented to Ken-lchi Tanaka, Y. Tango, and K. Shimmoto of Kose Corporation (Japan)...
