It may be tempting to anyone interested in American foreign policy, the presidency, or Theodore Roosevelt to turn to The Imperial Cruise. Unfortunately, a reader's time would be better spent elsewhere. Bradley writes with anger and passion, if not with style, but it requires more than fervor to produce good history.
