In an interview, Prof Kathleen C. Charmaz discusses her views on grounded theory and her new book. She also considers some fo the debates and challenges to her theory over the years. Charmaz's areas of expertise span the sociology of health and illness, death and dying, as well as qualitative methods, grounded theory, the study of academic writing, and a host of other topics.
