Abstract

The fundamental category of inculturated philosophy proposed by Scannone is that of the popular wisdom that mediates between popular culture, religiosity, symbols, and popular narratives, on the one hand, and philosophical thinking on the other. The objective of this article is to show the overlap between popular wisdom and its roots in the World of Life, since it is with popular wisdom that the cultural symbols which determine the behavior and history of the peoples are constructed. [...]we will examine Scannone's criticism of the very notion of inculturation and its proposal of a "we", a "being", and "symbolic mediation." [...]based on a first descriptive and reconstructive approach after the scannonian proposal of inculturation, we propose a kind of theory of recognition that has its roots in the World of Life or the "inclusive we".
