An 11-year-old girl developed exacerbation of asthma during treatment with ketoprofen as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory therapy.
The girl, who had chronic rhinosinusitis and bilateral ostiomeatal complex obstruction with nasal polyps, underwent surgery. Following the surgery, she was transferred from the ENT surgery room to the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) for suspected anaphylaxis and severe asthma exacerbation.
