Laurea crítica (Bogotá, 1629) y la breve historia del entremés barroco en Hispanoamérica

Abstract

Se rastrea en Hispanoamérica el desarrollo del entremés de figuras, esquema español que dominó la producción entremesil en el periodo Barroco. Se da cuenta de la historia y rasgos del entremés, en sus fases renacentista y barroca, para hacer la pesquisa del género en la América española. Con base en la caracterización y las historiografías disponibles, se identificó la pieza neogranadina Laurea crítica como el único entremés de figuras hispanoamericano. El seguimiento de esta línea precisa contribuye a la historiografía de la literatura colonial, a la comprensión del Barroco hispanoamericano y a determinar el valor de una obra poco estudiada.

The article traces the development of the entremés de figuras, a Spanish scheme that dominated interremesil production in the Baroque period, is traced in Latin America. It gives account of the history and features of the entremés, in its Renaissance and Baroque phases, for the purpose of researching the genre in Spanish America. Based on the characterization and available historiographies, the neogranadine piece Laurea crítica was identified as the only entremés of a Hispanic American figure. The follow-up of this precise line of inquiry contributes to the historiography of colonial literature, to the understanding of the Spanish-American Baroque and to the determination of the value of a little studied work.
