Abstract

John Graunt considered himself a haberdasher in 17th century London, but he also wrote a book entitled "Natural and political observations mentioned in a following index, and made upon the Bills of Mortality." Graunt reminds people than modern day epidemiology is dependent on the availablily of good records.
