A 52-year-old woman developed asystole secondary to lidocaine toxicity following the concomitant administration of lidocaine, sertraline and trazodone [not all routes stated].
The woman was hospitalised to inpatient service for IV lidocaine infusion to treat intractable hemicrania continua in the setting of NSAID [specific drug not stated] intolerance. Her medical history included meningioma status post resection, restless leg syndrome, recent bariatric surgery, major depression and type 2 diabetes.
