Logotopia: The Library in Architecture, Art and the Imagination celebrates both real and imagined libraries in a colorful miscellany of words and images. Addressing the idea of the library in its universal, national, public, private, and future incarnations, artists, architects, and writers offer multiple perspectives and at times an intimate presentation of both libraries and readers. Logotopia - ancient Greek for "word place" - is the catalog for an exhibition of the same name at the Cambridge Galleries' Design Riverside location in early 2008 on the campus of the University of Waterloo in Cambridge, Ontario.
The book's carefully composed architectural photographs, mainly aerial shots and façades along with bracing views of exterior and interior details, are augmented by architectural drawings, blueprints, and plans of contemporary libraries....
