LYCEUM LAWN TENNIS CLUB: EL INICIO DE LA FORMACIÓN DE LOS BIBLIOTECARIOS EN CUBA.

Abstract

Constituye este aporte, la tercera parte de una trilogía de trabajos publicados en la revista que intentan difundir la labor del Lyceum Lawn Tennis Club, una de las instituciones más importantes de la cultura en la etapa republicana. Después de haber reflexionado sobre la Biblioteca Pública del Lyceum y la primera biblioteca juvenil también creada en dicha institución, el presente trabajo, a partir de la investigación documental de su fondo archivístico, se concentra en la función del Lyceum como iniciadora de los primeros cursos de enseñanza bibliotecaria en Cuba.

This contribution constitutes, the third part of a trilogy of works published in the magazine that try to diffuse the work of the Lyceum Lawn Tennis Club, one of the most important institutions in the culture in the republican stage. After have been meditated on the Public Library of the Lyceum and the first juvenile library created in this institution, the present work, starting from the documental investigation of its archives, concentrates on the function of the Lyceum like pioneer of the first courses of teaching librarian in Cuba.
