A 61-year-old woman experienced burning sensation and cellulitis during treatment with SC magnesium sulfate for hypomagnesaemia [time to reactions onset not stated].
The woman was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the age of 19 years. She had undergone four previous bowel resections. On 6 May 2016, she presented with a perineal mass, for which she started receiving fluorouracil [5-fluorouracil] and mitomycin [mitomycin-C] along with daily radiation therapy. On 23 July 2016, she was admitted to the local cancer center for management of pain related to radiation desquamation and management of metabolic abnormalities including hypomagnesaemia associated with a high-output ileostomy, dehydration and hypotension related to a highoutput ileostomy.
