Three men developed fixed drug eruptions caused by mefenamic acid [therapeutic indications not stated].
A 44-year-old man reported 3 episodes of painful erosions of the tongue and oral mucosa over a 2-year period, with accompanying conjunctivitis. He also reported painful erosions on the glans penis and a lesion on his left thigh. He had neutrophilia, leucocytosis and a slightly increased C-reactive protein level. Upon questioning, he reported occasional use of vitamins and preparations containing mefenamic acid [route, dosage and duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated], paracetamol [acetaminophen], aspirin, caffeine and acetylcysteine.
