A 64-year-old woman developed eruptive neurofibroma during treatment with methotrexate and prednisone for adult onset Still's disease [not all routes stated].
The woman with neurofibromatosis type 1 of sacral area since puberty, had been diagnosed with adult onset Still's disease at the age of 62 years. She had been receiving treatment with oral prednisone 25 mg/day. After a year of therapy, she developed asthenia and joint pain. Hence, with consultation of rheumatologist, she was started on methotrexate 15 mg/week. However, 15 days after the initiation of methotrexate, she developed an eruptive group of lichenoid and anetodermic maculopapules, located in abdominal area and along the arms.
