The Mississippi Valley Collection (MVC) is a repository of materials documenting the history and culture of the lower Mississippi Valley region. Administered as part of The University of Memphis Libraries' Special Collections Department, the MVC comprises both published and unpublished materials related to the life and work of Elvis Presley.
The MVC holds more than sixty books about Elvis in its collection of published materials, including memoirs by members (and would-be members) of the "Memphis Mafia," reference works such as encyclopedias and disc- and filmographies, and the acclaimed multivolume Elvis biography by Peter Guralnick.
