Experienced practitioners seeking an authoritative text on MRP II may find that this book does not live up to the promise of its subtitle. It is essentially written as a text to be used for basic training courses. The author's stated objective is to develop a book "to meet the training need of MRP courses offered at 4-year colleges, community colleges, and company in-house programs"; in this, the work fulfills its objective. It can also be useful in preparing for the APICS certification tests, although it lacks the detailed treatment of the body of knowledge to provide comprehensive education...
