A number of new executive appointments at Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) have been announced - and they are all women. New chief executive is New Zealander Ailsa Claire, who has been living and working in the United Kingdom (UK) for the last 30 years, most recently as chief executive of National Health Service (NHS) Barnsley. According to ADHB chairman Lester Levy, in the NHS role, Claire had "moved the organisation from an underlying financial deficit to a high performing organisation". She takes up her new role in September.
