Abstract

The text oers an analysis of Claude Simon's The Wind, The Palace and Triptych and of the way in which the narrative represents the main characters' concrete experience of reality understood as the set of physical, intellectual, and social phenomena that surround them. This approach to the works of the French writer, which highlights the relation of interdependence between the representation of the objective world in the story and the stylistic and formal aspects, explains the way in which the peculiarities of the narrative structure of these works, which mark a break with model of the 19th century realistic novel, correspond to the problematic and opaque manner in which reality presents itself to the main characters.
