Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the fairytale book which is called "Zaman Zaman Içinde" of Pertev Naili Boratav in relation with the values and identify the importance of it with respect to the Turkish Language Teaching Curriculum. The significance of this study is being the first study on the analysis of the fairytale book "Zaman Zaman Içinde" of Pertev Naili Bora tav in relation with the values. In this study, in which qualitative research methods are used, content analysis techniques are utilized in order to collect data. Data source is 22 fairytales in the fairytale book "Zaman Zaman Içinde" in the current study. Descriptive analysis is used for data analysis. The fairytales in "Zaman Zaman Içinde" are categorized with respect to Schwartz Values Scale. The results illustrate that the most frequently used groups of values are self-direction (197), benevolence (109), and tridition (90) respectively. In the fairytale book called "Zaman Zaman Içinde", the least frequently used groups of values are confirm (38), hedonism (36), security (34). Throughout the 22 fairytales, it is investigated that the least frequency belongs to the group of universality (13) value.
