Given the snowy-white matt cover that this book sports, you would be best off buying your own copy. Although I handled mine gingerly and swaddled it in plastic bags, it became distinctly, unavoidably grubby. Something about this pristine, affronting whiteness is apt for a book of such a topic: the politics of publishing in a country devastated by apartheid.
This collection of essays, written by high-profile publishing South Africans, is divided into three sections: "Media Against Apartheid," "Language, Writing, Identity, Publishing" (heavily retrospective), and "Considerations for the Future."
