A male foetus developed intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) following in utero exposure of propranolol.
A 31-year-old pregnant woman, who had a history of obesity, diabetes, hepatitis B, cocaine abuse and psychiatric disorders, was receiving propranolol 150mg daily for severe migraines. She was also receiving sertraline, quetiapine, zopiclone and promethazine during her pregnancy. At 23 weeks of pregnancy, she presented to the accident and emergency department following a mixed overdose of unspecified medications. She admitted using cocaine regularly.
