The glass collector and scholar Rudolf von Strasser (1919-2014),1 who assembled one of the most significant private collections of European glass dating from the Renaissance to the Biedermeier period, and who wrote two detailed catalogs of these glasses,1 2 3 also amassed three boxes of research files. His glass collection was donated to two museums in Vienna, and his research materials came to the Rakow Research Library as a gift from him and his wife, Daisy.'
