This issue reviews the latest version of STATISTICA. Particular emphasis is placed on the user interface. It is now impossible to provide a statistical review of the many sophisticated options in current packages. Furthermore, since the statistical routines are similar across packages, the main difference for the user may well lie in ease of use features of the interface and help facilities. Statsoft Inc. also provide a free Electronic Statistics Textbook that can be downloaded to a user's own hard disc. It is one of the more comprehensive statistical resources available on the web, with full contents and a powerful search engine that also leads to an index. It can be a useful accompaniment to any statistics package, not only STATISTICA.

Review of STATISTICA 6.0
This is the release 6.0 of STATISTICA, and looking back at its history I realize that the last version I tried was probably 1.0 or 2.0. I found even those early versions very easy to use and useful, so I approached this version with high expectations.
