Keyword Languages
The Rosetta Project is so called because it attempts to create a contemporary version of the Rosetta Stone. The idea is to develop a Web-based resource that enables comparative language study and preserves languages which are in danger of future extinction. The main body of the Web site is a database of 1,000 languages. The project represents a global collaboration of voluntary contributions and comments from linguists, native speakers, and interested members of the public.
