Zinovy Zinik (ne Gluzberg) left the Soviet Union in 1975 and came, via Israel and Paris, to London, where he now lives. The author of several comic and thought-provoking novels, he has also written many insightful stories and essays about emigration in general, and that of a Soviet emigre to the West in particular.
Readers of Zinik's works will no be disappointed by One-Way Ticket, a collection of nine stories written between 1987 and 1992 which directly and indirectly confront again the phenomenon of emigration in the light of the breakup of the Soviet Union and post-Soviet reality.
