Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine and compare the factor structure of the environment of self-induced concatenated demotivation, especially for the subsamples of employees in the private sector and in the state/public services. Data were gathered using a snowball sampling that consisted of 196 examinees of both sexes and it was heterogeneous in terms of occupation and level of education. A number of 136 examinees were employed in the public and 57 in the private sector. Based the factor analysis results, three latent dimensions were obtained in both samples. The results have shown that the obtained factor structure differed in two subsamples of examinees, those employed in the public and private sector. It can be said that in terms of interpretability the factor structure is better defined within the sample of employees in the public sector, which can be attributed to the more transparent presence of the concept of self-induced concatenated demotivation.
