Abstract

The internet is widely understood to have revolutionized many aspects of the global economy, as well as everyday human experience. Its effects on the production and reception of literature, however, have not yet been adequately theorized. Simone Murray sets the stage for this project with a thorough and insightful work of scholarship, The Digital Literary Sphere: Reading, Writing, and Selling Books in the Internet Era.
