This short and inexpensive book introduces principles of cartographic design to users of computer mapping and GIS packages -- a worthy goal, since far too often, cartographic knowledge is lacking or ignored by such people. The examples used throughout the book are drawn from environmental science, and could be translated into other themes as needed.
