The Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics (www.albany.edu/sourcebook/) is the freely available online version of the venerable print editions bearing the same name. Supported by governmental agencies like the US Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics, this resource has been based at the University at Albany, SUNY since 1972 with close ties to the University's School of Criminal Justice and the Hindelang Criminal Justice Research Center. The online version became available in 1996, while printed copies of the resource were discontinued after 2003.
The online resource has not been updated since October of 2013. However, the vast majority of data and information is still succinctly organized and accessible; in fact, the only data-specific portion of the resource that no longer functions is the Archives section, which purports to contain archival material from 1994 to 2002.
