A trustworthy guide to using SPSS Versions 10 and 11 (with notes on key differences for users of Versions 8 or 9), this book may be recommended to psychologists but also to a wider audience. It assumes no knowledge of SPSS, yet is also useful for those familiar with the package, as it includes perhaps less common statistical procedures, such as discriminant analysis, logistical regression, and factor analysis.
For beginners or infrequent users of SPSS, it is ideal. This book can be used to learn how to enter data into SPSS, how to conduct the statistical analyses required, how to edit SPSS output and incorporate it into a Microsoft Word document. It is a very useful reference book to keep on one's shelf and to refer to when using SPSS. However, it is not a guide to statistics.
