Switzerland and Luxembourg rebuff OECD tax haven proposals

Abstract

Switzerland and Luxembourg have refused to give their assent to an OECD agreement on tax havens. The 2 governments abstained in a vote on the proposals at the OECD ministerial meeting in Paris in April this year. The proposals were the result of 2 years' work by the OECD's fiscal affairs committee.
