ESL writers constitute an increasingly large population of students in composition classrooms-especially in two-year colleges. To better meet their ESL students' needs, many first language (LI) composition teachers have recently become interested in learning more about ESL composition, a fact which makes Teaching ESL Composition: Purpose, Process, and Practice a particularly timely and useful resource. This text provides a firm foundation for teaching ESL composition, especially for teachers unfamiliar with the field of TESOL.
