Although some might question the appropriateness of reviewing a book on Australian popular culture in a journal devoted to American history, Too Soon, Too Late has much to offer scholars of American culture and history. While the author's investigations are anchored in specific examples of Australian tourist culture, politics, and media, it is clear that she is interested primarily in the methodological and theoretical issues that surface in diverse disciplines, such as popular culture, history, and cultural studies. As such, this book provides scholars with models of inquiry in a wide range of fields.
