Abstract
According to Angell, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, the pharmaceutical industry's U.S. trade association, has "the largest lobby in Washington," which in 2002 employed 675 lobbyists (including 26 former members of Congress) at a cost of more than $91 million.
