Some esearch is voluntary, some less so. Legislativefrom the beginning of their schooling to graduating college. Wendy Lym, Austin Community College, and Raj Chekuri, Laredo Community College, are typical examples of faculty working diligently on this research. Both are working with groups of high school teachers to align high school graduation skills with college entrance skills. One would think those already would be a match, but we know better.
Erin O'Neill of New Mexico State University has been busy working on several projects related to developmental students. Erin researched "acceleration theory and models for developmental programs."
