The University of Utah is seeking a nationally prominent scholar and educational leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Education. The College has over 70 tenure-track and clinical faculty and is organized in four academic departments (Educational Leadership and Policy; Educational Psychology; Education, Culture, and Society; and Special Education) and one institute (Urban Institute for Teacher Education). The College expects to move this fall into its new 35.8 million dollar facility with state of the art classrooms, research space, and centers for interdisciplinary collaborations. We are seeking a Dean who will develop with us a vision for capitalizing on our new opportunities, and will share with us a longstanding commitment to increasing the diversity of our students and faculty and ensuring excellence in research, grant writing, teaching, and service.
