Entailing a comprehensive stable of ten companies operating both independently or collaboratively as circumstances dictate, Queensland-based WaIz Group has evolved into a major player in the Australian onshore and offshore construction industry.
Established in Gladstone in 1976 and now employing over 300 people, the group's primary involvement with the marine sector comes through its WaIz Marine and Capricorn Tug & Barge divisions.
Major equipment assets of WaIz Marine include: a SEP Desley Anne jack-up barge with 400-ton ne crane suitable for piling, drilling and heavy-lift operations; a SEP Fuji jack-up barge with 250-tonne crane; the 70 metre 'Junette Joy' service barge with ten-tonne per square-metre deck capacity and four-point anchor system; impact piling hammers; 12-person crew boat and additional support vessels and pontoons.
