Piero Melograni, with the help of very capable translators, has presented an easily readable biography of Mozart. Although not a musicologist by trade, Melograni has used his past experience as a historian and thoroughly researched his subject, presenting a detailed account of Mozart's life, travels, successes, and failures.
While Melograni's language was smooth, his chapter organization was often disorienting. I appreciated the frequent subheadings that divide the chapters into different subject...
