Women in the United States are entering the field of international affairs and assuming leadership positions within the field in record numbers. In recognition of this, the Women's Foreign Policy Group conducted a study to find out how women became leaders in their respective sectors and to answer questions about advancement in the field. The study report, Leading by Example: U.S. Women Leaders in International Affairs, reveals that the career paths, personal experiences, and professional concerns of these emerging women leaders in the international community are very similar.
