The book under review, by Som Raj Gupta, is the second volume of a series, both under the same title, The Word Speaks to the Faustian Man. The "Word" in the title refers to the (sacred) texts expressed by the term Sabdaprama,na. By "Faustian man" the author clearly uses observation and experimentation as tools to arrive at truth; there are no methodologies to wisdom. So the point of the book is to bring out the message of the Upanisadic texts for modern humanity.
